It's Almost Here...Are You Ready...

or is it Too Late?

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11

It used to be that I feared that the commercialism of Christmas time would skew the real meaning of Christmas. That somehow Christ would be lost in all the hub-bub of the holiday season.

When I ask, are you ready...I'm not asking whether your Christmas shopping is done or whether your decorating meets with your approval. I'm not wondering whether your Christmas cards are in the mail or whether your dinner preparations are complete.

What do I want to know?

The desire of my heart is to know if you're ready to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas.

In the book of Isaiah....over 750 years before Christ was born...God told us He was coming...a promise was made...and kept.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isa 9:6

Now, my heart is no longer burdened that Christ will be lost in the commercialism of the's that Christ will be lost because we are losing our freedom to share Him.

I can't believe my eyes! So much has been taken from us.

The Lord recently supplied a job for was my first "real" impression of what is happening. I work in the corporate office and as signs were being prepared to show our "closing" days for the season, much ado was made about whether the signs should have "Santa" on them or whether that alone may offend someone.

Are you hearing this? Santa is now in question, even to the secular world. Christmas is disappearing...let alone the true meaning that we hold and cherish in our heart.

Celebrate's true meaning...all that God had given and continues to give through His precious Son, Jesus Christ. Let not your heart be troubled, for God is watching.

Celebrate, sing, and rejoice for a Savior has come!

He Lives!

In Him,

Jesus is the Reason mug
