It Hard to Believe but Christmas... next week! I've got so much to do! It's an incredible time of the year. I've found that as I've gotten older it's a bit harder to find the Christmas Spirit of days gone by.

Don't misunderstand, as I read the story of my Savior's birth, and His coming, my heart and eyes mist over with tears of thankfulness and joy. It's then that the true Spirit of Christmas touches my heart and warms my memories.

I now have grandchildren. Two beautiful girls...Eowynn Elle...and ...Kiani Jade...they are, without a doubt, my most precious delights of life. I'm blessed to watch them grow, learn, change, and warm the hearts of their parents. I think it gives me as much joy to see the kids with their kids, as it did to be with my own. Thank you Lord.

You may wonder what this has to do with Christmas...well...if I received nothing else but the health, happiness, and peace of my children's earthly gift would be complete.

My gift from my Father was given long ago and is a Living Gift that keeps on giving. Thank you Father for your precious Son. May this be a time of great revival that all who seek Him my experience the joy of our Savior.

God bless you all!

In Him,

I found this fascinating quote today:

The Word of God is so important in our lives. Without it we are without direction. Without it we are powerless. But when we faithfully read the Word and heed it, we have our lives mapped out for us, we know which road to take and we have a wonderful promise: "And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left." Isaiah 30:21. Directions for life. It's comforting to have them at your fingertips. Another promise from the Lord is that He will never leave us. (Hebrews 13:5) So, we not only have access to the directions we need to live by, we have the Guide to walk us through. What more can we ask? Our destination is assured. Let's follow in His footsteps.DIANE STEPHENSON, MY HEALTHY LIVING BLOG, Dec 2009

It's Almost Here...Are You Ready...

or is it Too Late?

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11

It used to be that I feared that the commercialism of Christmas time would skew the real meaning of Christmas. That somehow Christ would be lost in all the hub-bub of the holiday season.

When I ask, are you ready...I'm not asking whether your Christmas shopping is done or whether your decorating meets with your approval. I'm not wondering whether your Christmas cards are in the mail or whether your dinner preparations are complete.

What do I want to know?

The desire of my heart is to know if you're ready to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas.

In the book of Isaiah....over 750 years before Christ was born...God told us He was coming...a promise was made...and kept.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isa 9:6

Now, my heart is no longer burdened that Christ will be lost in the commercialism of the's that Christ will be lost because we are losing our freedom to share Him.

I can't believe my eyes! So much has been taken from us.

The Lord recently supplied a job for was my first "real" impression of what is happening. I work in the corporate office and as signs were being prepared to show our "closing" days for the season, much ado was made about whether the signs should have "Santa" on them or whether that alone may offend someone.

Are you hearing this? Santa is now in question, even to the secular world. Christmas is disappearing...let alone the true meaning that we hold and cherish in our heart.

Celebrate's true meaning...all that God had given and continues to give through His precious Son, Jesus Christ. Let not your heart be troubled, for God is watching.

Celebrate, sing, and rejoice for a Savior has come!

He Lives!

In Him,

So Much to Be Thankful For ...

...and So Many to Thank

So much...really, even in these times, so much to be thankful for...Blessed beyond measure in so many ways.

Are you? I bet you are.

I'm sure that if you sat down for a moment and gave some thought to what you have and what you have in abundance you'd be shocked.

Recently, and it's ongoing, my husband and I were going through some financial difficulty. We've been cutting costs at every corner in order to make ends meet (we are not there yet, but we will be). At any rate, as we started cutting back, I couldn't help but look around at how much we had!

Not only how much we had, but how much we had in abundance of what we needed. Yes, the Lord was opening our eyes to some financial "indescretions" and I'm thankful for it. I now look and buy with a careful eye.

With that said, Christmas is upon us and it's time to shop for those special loved ones and friends. Please take a moment to visit my shop Sharing Zazzle Success for unique and adorable gift items.

Yes, I'll do custom orders for you, but hurry Christmas is almost here! I can change designs, mix and match...just let me know what you'd like and I'll do my best to create it for you.

Hope to see you shopping!

A Mother's Love

A Mother's love touches us from the moment of our birth and embraces us through out our lives. If we have been blessed in a special way, our Mother's love will encompass every aspect of our lives. She will leave an everlasting imprint that we, in turn, will pass on to our children.

The importance of a Mother's love and nurturing truths cannot be understated. She is often the reason a child grows up believing or not believing. Her love is often the glue that binds us together through difficult times. She is often the protector, the shield, if you will from the harms of this world.

When the world attacks we are our children's stronghold, support, and security. We should be who they come to when everything else seems wrong, and when they come we should be the ones that champion them to greatness. For then, they will achieve greatness...not always in the world's eyes, but most certainly before God.

A mothers love is warm, soft, and for the great majority of us a safe haven from the storms of this world.

Faith When Times Seem Bleak

Have you ever felt that you needed a larger dose of faith than usual? When things get really ugly and you're trying to figure out how to make "it" work.

If you haven't then you're a unique and special individual. I, on the other hand, have felt that I needed that little extra boost.

Right now, for instance, things are not going too well financially. We have a small construction company and it has fallen due to the economy.

We have searched for employment, but nothing has turned up yet. Many are praying and we are waiting.

I've discovered that faith is something you either have or you don't have...

What did you say?

Yes, I know earlier I said that I needed an extra boost of faith...that actually isn't right.

We have all the faith we need if we have the faith of a mustard seed (Luk 17:6). A mustard seed is one of the smallest of seeds, it's so tiny that when it rests in the palm of your hand you could easily lose it. After it's planted, rooted, and becomes a massive Mustard Tree.

I was told that the meaning was either have faith or your don't. My faith rests in the Creator who loved me enough to send a Savior for me. He and He alone will care for my needs as He sees fit.

Now, I know that sounds very lofty, but to be sure there are days when I feel frightened about my future and the future of our family, but God reminds me that if He feeds the fowl of the air, how much more will He care for me.

For now, I will rest in that...find peace where I am, and trust.

Clothed in Righteousness

My husband just called to me and read a portion of scripture that dealt with the Lords coming as a "thief in the night" and how we were to be prepared, with cloak and clothes ready, so as not to be ashamed when the time came.

We pondered that and since we knew that the Lord cares little about the outward appearance and much more about the heart. We came to the conclusion that He must have been referring to our being clothed in Righteousness.

How often I forget that the "clothing" the Lord finds pleasing is that which is created with a righteous spirit.

According to Wikipedia:

Righteousness (also called rectitude) is an important theological concept in Judaism and Christianity. It is an attribute that implies that a person's actions are justified, and can have the connotation that the person has been "judged" or "reckoned" as leading a life that is pleasing to God.

So how do we become righteous? Not of ourselves, certainly, but by the blood of the Only One who was Righteous, Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

2Ti 4:8 henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day; and not to me only, but also to all them that have loved his appearing.

Loving Angels

One of the reasons I love angels is because they are always a part of our lives. Whether in human form, or as spiritual beings, God tells us that they are innumerable.

Heb 12:22 but ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable hosts of angels,...

They surround us as mighty warriors and protect us as God wills.

Have you ever talked with anyone that has been touched, in a special way, by God, through an angel? They speak in soft, powerful tones that create an aura of His presence and personification.

It's difficult to doubt their story as they share in depth and detail why they know that something supernatural has happened.

My Mom loves angels, they surround her in her home and comfort her thoughts before she sleeps at night. As she prays to her heavenly Father, she remembers His love and protection over her.

Angels touch us in a special way and you'll see them sprinkled throughout my designs.
